Prudential RideLondon-Surrey: Have you ever seen a panda ride a bike?
Joshua Shrive, our managing consultant, loves to cycle. So much so, that he's preparing to take his cycling to a whole new level... he's registered (and been training for) the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey.
What is Prudential RideLondon-Surrey?
Prudential RideLondon-Surrey is a festival of cycling. Participants can choose from a few options - from a 46 mile cycle to 100 miles around the London and Surrey area. Joshua has registered for the 100 mile option!
At 5:45am (yes, 5:45am) on Sunday morning, he'll start his adventure. Highlights from the day will be broadcast live on BBC TV so be sure to keep an eye out for him (and tweet us if you see him!).
The training schedule & the goal
We asked Joshua, "are you ready for Sunday?" His answer? "Yes!" He's been training every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (that's around 12 hours of cycling a week). This week, he'll limit his training to 3 hours with some much needed rest time - and a visit to the physio (minor knee injury!) - before the big race on Sunday.
His goal? To complete 100 miles in just 6 hours.
#PandaGiving: Cycling for WWF UK
Joshua is raising money for an incredible charity: WWF UK. If you'd like to show your support for our performance marketing panda and the WWF, head on over to his Just Giving page.
