Take it Offline: the F2F digital discussion

Jan 17, 2017 9:42:47 AM

There's a new event in town... Introducing Take it Offline, the bi-monthly roundtable event hosted by Gerry White, Tom Bourlet and Andy Veal.

Is Take it Offline the right event for you?

Love the wonderful world of digital? Enjoy knowledge sharing, lively discussions and networking with like-minded people? Tired of attending conferences and learning nothing?

If you answered 'yes' to any - or all - of the above questions, Take it Offline is definitely the right event for you.

How does Take it Offline 'work'?

Each Take it Offline is based around a topic (i.e. content marketing, technical marketing, etc.). The event brings professionals from all digital backgrounds and levels together, encouraging discussion on everything from topic-related best practice and myths to wins and mishaps.

If you're not 100% familiar with the Take it Offline topic, fear not! Come along with a love of digital and an eagerness to learn and you'll be just fine. Each event attracts a mix of juniors to seniors, meaning that you'll enjoy hearing a number of different perspectives, experiences, frustrations, and successes. Overall, an incredible learning opportunity for everyone.

What to expect on the night

This isn't some formal round table event... and it's not full of over-the-top brand promotions and sales attempts, either. Held at the Globe in Brighton (a short train journey from London), each evening will kick-off with an introduction and a short quiz at around 7pm. From 7:30pm, the round table goodness begins. You can expect to get involved in two round table sessions per event, with a short break in between and a roundup to wrap it all up.

The Masterminds Behind The Event

Gerry White, Andy Veal and Tom Bourlet are the masterminds behind Take it Offline. Passionate about the digital world, the trio joined together to bring digital professionals an event that promises - and delivers - valuable learning and networking opportunities (not vague presentations and hours of thinly veiled sales pitches).

So, why a round table event? "I attended a round table event two years ago and I was lost for words when I walked out, as I had learnt more in that single hour than I had learnt in every conference I had attended combined", Tom reveals. "It was an opportunity to meet people in the same industry as me, discussing the exact same issues, in a close and trusted meetup, where secrets to the trade were shared but kept discreet. I struggled to find any round table events going on in Sussex, so I eventually decided if you can't find them, create them! I joined up with Andy and Gerry and the rest was history."

More about Gerry, Tom and Andy In their own words...
