Joe and Johnny Jungle fever

Ever heard of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)? No it’s not another ecommerce term, it’s actually a very serious rare neurological disease. We’d never heard of it before Joe’s (co-founder of Cranberry Panda) step mum Sara was diagnosed 2 years ago with MSA  and it’s not pleasant. Life expectancy after diagnosis is from 2 to 8 years. It is untreatable and patients lose all physical abilities. Power of movement of limbs, speech, ability to swallow, sight and eventually all physical ability is lost. The mind remains fully active throughout. There is currently no treatment or cure.

Why are we telling you and how are WE going to make a difference?

We have decided to run the Jungle ULTRA. It's never been done before. It’s the ultimate test; a 230k run in a Peruvian jungle. We will be totally self sufficient, carrying all food and equipment to sleep through swamps, rivers and 100% humidity. Fun! We are doing this to raise as much money as humanly possible, for the MSA trust who do a smashing job and because we love running , naturally.

How can you help make a difference?

We’re not asking you to run with us – but feel free to join, the more the merrier! We’re simply asking for you to donate to our justgiving page and spread the word about MSA! Research it, tweet about it, tell your friends, tell your enemies, shout it from the hilltops!

Wish us luck and thank you in advance for doing your bit !
