On September 23rd, I’ll be taking on a 10k course complete with obstacles in aid of Peace Hospice Care. As someone who spent hours laughing at the contestants on Takeshi’s Castle & Total Wipeout, I’m not sure what I’ve let myself in for…
Push it for the Peace is an annual event, headed up by the wonderful people behind Peace Hospice Care. Based in Hertfordshire, Peace Hospice Care make it their mission to provide quality care to patients facing life-limiting illnesses in a setting that gives comfort to them and their families.
As you can see, it’s a great cause that requires full support as the services are delivered free of charge.
On the 23rd September, Cassiobury Park in Watford will become home to the Push it for the Peace 2017 obstacle course. It’s a big community day, with lots to do for families.
I won’t be relaxing in the park however…I’ll be tackling 10k worth of running and obstacles. There are four zones: The Inflatable Zone, The Foam Zone, The Water Zone & The Military Zone, full of different obstacles. It will be great fun, though I have no doubt I’ll be face planting on more than one of the obstacles.
Bring it on!
Like all the pandas who take on a challenge, I’m raising money for Peace Hospice Care as part of our Panda Giving efforts. It’s a fantastic cause, so you can find out about my teams’ progress on our donation page. (Don’t ask about the team name…you have to be a fan of the movie!)
I’m looking forward to it, but I won’t be doing a Jonathan style run anytime soon!
Wish me luck! Chris – Marketing Panda
