Over the past few weeks, we've had some panda Q&As with everyone at cranberry towers! Last to take the hot seat is Chris, Marketing Executive here at cranberry panda. Here's what he had to say...
I don’t think there is only one thing I could isolate as what I love most! Learning more about ecommerce has been fascinating. Of course, I’ve always known it was there but had no idea of the force behind some of these ecommerce brands. Getting to see the consultants place great people into teams broadens my understanding every day. Recruitment and ecommerce gives me scope to dream up blog ideas and meet the people behind exciting brands.
Go on Tinder and prepare for the onslaught of right swipes…just kidding! I’d like to become the first wild panda to sky dive.
I received a gold certificate in swimming as a kid, but don’t think that counts. I have a Budgie called Sophie, who I’ve managed to tame a good amount. However, if she’s not chilling on my shoulder she will find a corner of the room and destroy the wall paper. Once we’ve got that in order, I suppose I could be the next champion Budgie tamer!
I would say to get yourself out there and show how serious you are about a marketing career. Personally, cranberry panda was my first big step into marketing having done six months voluntary experience with a Digital Marketing agency previously.
My degree wasn’t in marketing, but I knew marketing would allow me to be creative and adventurous. If you have the degree, great! It puts you in great stead to start your career. With so many different routes to take in Marketing, I think having a good idea of your goals early on will help you map out your career, and start gaining experience accordingly.
I’m about half way through writing a science fiction trilogy. I adore writing and, with this story in particular, there was an urge to get it onto paper immediately. I would give a teaser, but that would be telling…
Weather/Elemental control, without a doubt! I constantly lose umbrellas (I’ve lost two over the past 4 months) so would be great to turn off the rain when I’m caught by a torrential shower! I could make it hot and sunny when I had a day out planned, or cool it down on hot stuffy nights.
Of course, I wouldn’t go so mad with power that I end up changing the tides and destroying the eco system as we know it. Instead, I’d restore the ice caps and end drought!
