Salary changes by age group

-
Ages 25–35: Early-to-mid career pros, often juggling marketing campaigns, CRO goals and team leadership, saw a 3.7% increase, bringing their average up to £61,763.
-
Ages 36–45: This group, often made up of senior managers or heads of department, saw a great 5.1% boost, the biggest increase across the age brackets. Their average now sits at £93,481.
-

How do eCommerce salaries compare year-on-year?
Looking back over the past few years, salaries in eCommerce have continued to climb, though we see a slightly lower increase compared to 2023 to 2024. Steady increases in 2024 and 2025 suggest more stable salary conversations are happening - and that’s great to see.
How many people got a pay rise?
Here’s what we found from our survey respondents in 2025:
-
51% said they received a pay increase.
-
38% said their salary stayed the same.
-
10% said their salary decreased.
So, while most people are earning more, there’s still a sizable chunk feeling stagnant. That’s a signal for eCommerce leaders to make sure they’re having honest, open conversations around pay - and checking in before talent starts quietly searching for a new role and salary!
eCommerce hiring tip: Competitive salaries still matter
With demand still high for roles in CRM, UX, performance marketing and product management, businesses need to be proactive when it comes to salary benchmarking. Not just to attract fresh talent - but to keep your existing stars from wandering. Our 2025 salary survey report can help!
