Time for another ecommerce salary review! This time, we are focusing on our survey respondents within the Web & Data Analytics specialism – have they seen positive changes when it comes to salary? Are salaries on the decline within the analytics space? There’s only one way to find out!
Let’s start by looking at different roles within Web & Data Analytics, and seeing the salary bracket for each job title…
What a great start – there appears to be some significant increases on either end of some of these salary brackets. Does this mean these respondents have seen some pay rises in the last 12 months?
A whopping 83% of our web & data analytics respondents have seen their salary increase in the last 12 months. 17% saw their salary stay the same, while no one within this specialism experienced a decrease in their salary.
This is the only specialism that did not see any decrease in salaries and is also significantly higher when it comes to pay rises. We’re sure there are plenty of happy web & data analytics professionals out there right now!
“I didn’t ask for a pay rise.” This is a common reason across the whole questionnaire – it’s up to the individual to decide when the best time to ask is.
“There was no budget for a pay rise.” Sometimes, it’s not down to the individual at all. When it comes to budgets, don’t be hesitant to ask when this can be reviewed so you get an idea of when a pay rise might be possible.
Other reasons include not being with the company long enough, that a pay rise is coming later in the year and that day rates weren’t increased (for contractors.)
Are Web & Data Analytics hopeful for the rest of 2019? There is still plenty of time to see a lovely increase in salaries – here’s what our respondents expect to happen…
Here are some of the reasons provided as to why salary might stay the same or decrease…
