Am I truly unhappy because of this particular issue? It is easy to confuse stress with deep unhappiness. That’s what stress can do after all! If you are consistently affected by an issue within your career then this has to factor in when solving the problem.
What are the positives of defeating this struggle head on? Running from problems is easy to do, and it is usually the wrong solution.
