Our 2015 salary survey has taught us a great deal about salary changes within ecommerce. We’ve had amazing insights while looking at online marketing changes to ecommerce merchandising and management increases. Today, we will conclude this blog series by looking at salaries for operational ecommerce roles.

What are operational roles within ecommerce?

This sector covers a rich scale of roles and responsibilities, from managing a full website platform change to ensuring customers overall experience is a positive one. Here’s a quick list of the roles our respondents specified:

  • Project Manager
  • Ecommerce Business Analyst
  • Junior Web Analyst
  • Senior Web Analyst
  • Fulfilment Manager
  • Online Customer Services Manager

Have there been any positive changes in salary?

The panda is pleased to report that the answer is yes! The figures below speak for itself:

  • Junior Web Analyst- £30,000 - £40,000. From £25k to 38k last year, that’s a great increase.
  • Senior Web Analyst- £42,000 - £70,000. In 2014, that figure was £35k to £65k. What an amazing leap forward.
  • Fulfilment Manager- £30,000 - £45,000. With a £42.5k maximum salary last year, it’s a comfortable rise.
  • Online Customer Services Manager- £27,000 - £40,000. A nice £5k rise from £35k last year.

Has anything remained the same?

The following roles haven’t seen any change from the 2014 salary survey:

  • Project Manager- £35,000 - £70,000
  • Ecommerce Business Analyst- £35,000 - £65,000
  • Junior Customer Services- £18,000 - £25,000

While these roles haven’t seen a change from our 2014 survey, it’s great to see that they have remained consistent.
