Business Controller

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled and data-driven Business Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-growing D2C Health & Wellness company. The role focuses on acting as a sparring partner to the business with a strong analytical finance perspective. You'll control and report business financial performance both internally and to the wider group.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a key partner, providing data-driven insights to senior management, including the CEO and CFO, to support strategic decision-making.
- Control and report business performance, both internally and to the group, using standard templates for monthly reporting and brand calls.
- Handle planning processes, including quarterly budget updates and rolling forecasts.
- Interact with local teams in sales, marketing, and supply chain to understand inventory movements and their financial impact.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and managing key financial metrics to drive business performance and highlight potential risks and opportunities.
- Monitor business dynamics and their financial consequences, ensuring accurate tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- This role is analytical in nature and is not focused solely on accounting; the accounting work is centrally managed in Belgium.
- The position will involve understanding the business and monitoring the impact of various actions on financial performance.
You:
- Have 3-8 years of experience in a business controlling role or a similar environment, such as a high-growth international D2C business, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Possess strong skills in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Have excellent commercial awareness and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
- Are proficient in Excel and financial software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a flexible, adaptable approach.
- Are a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
