Do digital designers find it hard to strike that work-life balance? Overall, across all of our eCommerce specialisms, 69% of respondents are happy with their work-life balance.
When looking at digital design and creative professionals, 57% are happy with their balance between work and home. This is a significant decrease from the overall statistic. Furthermore, 70% of digital design respondents believe management can do more to encourage work-life balance.
Respondents were asked to rate their happiness in their current role out of ten. Looking at our design & creative respondents, the average is 6/10. This has decreased slightly from 6.4/10 in 2021. We can see there is some dissatisfaction so far - not as many designers are happy with their work-life balance as we would expect. Is overtime playing a role in this?
As we can see, there has been an increase in digital designers doing more overtime...this definitely explains the preceding statistics.
