Web Analytics Recruitment: Employee insights for 2022

Aug 9, 2022 9:06:49 AM

For Web Analytics recruitment insights, look no further. How are employees working within web analytics jobs feeling about the industry in 2022?

It's an important specialism for the Cranberry Panda team, as we know how important these talented people are within an eCommerce team. Without their insights, companies will find it hard to grow and improve.

In our past web analytics employee reviews, the respondents were often happiest when it came to work-life balance and role happiness. This is in comparison to our other reviews, such as digital marketing and eCommerce. Will this be the case in 2022?

Our 2022 eCommerce salary survey and insight report gets to the bottom of many topics. Are web analysts happy in their roles? Are they doing too much? Let's find out...

Note: For this employee review, we will be taking questionnaire data from our web & data analytics respondents only.

Web Analytics professionals - happiness in current role

Respondents were asked to rate their happiness in their current role out of ten. Taking a look at the web analytics respondents only, the average score was 6.6/10. This is a decrease from the previous year, with the highest score being 7.4/10. Why has this decreased? The pandemic has changed the working landscape, so workplace happiness must be prioritised. Our recent blog about workplace happiness in eCommerce has more insights that could offer some ideas about improving job sentiments.

Work-life balance for web analytics employees

Our report showed that 69% of respondents are happy with their work-life balance, across all eCommerce specialisms. Taking the web analytics segment only, we can see that 73% are happy with the balance between work and personal life. This is definitely a positive increase from the overall statistics. Despite this, 81% still believe their management team could do more to encourage a better balance.

Overtime for web analytics professionals

Web Analytics is a busy field - is too much overtime taking its toll? Here's a breakdown of the number of extra hours worked...

  • None: 16%
  • A few minutes here and there: 8%
  • Half an hour: 6%
  • An hour: 12%
  • Between 2-3 hours: 16%
