Being a panda cub: Joining the cranberry panda team

It seems being a panda is more rewarding than I thought! Day two at cranberry panda, and the fountain of information keeps on giving – with no signs of it relenting. I have already learnt a great deal of what the world of ecommerce has to offer, and I’m chomping at the bit to learn even more.

I have joined the cranberry panda team as the Marketing and Administration Assistant, though my educational background might leave you thinking I wandered into the building by mistake. I studied Theology, Philosophy & Religious Studies for three years with no particular career goal in mind.

I suppose I chose a degree that I was interested in, over one that opened many doors. Following graduation, I drifted by until I found a muse I could invest in. Being a keen creative writer, I was seeking somewhere I could apply ideas and innovation to a really great environment.

I was lucky enough to find an opportunity to volunteer with a Digital Marketing company, and really explore the different avenues the industry could take me down. After just a few months, I knew marketing was something I needed to know more about. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but not the panda! I stumbled across the position at cranberry panda, and my voluntary role was coming to a close. That can’t be a coincidence, right? I was drawn immediately to the look and feel of the panda brand, so decided to apply. The rest, as they say, is history.

My first day arrived, nerves and excitement in abundance, and I could not have felt more welcome. Jonathan and Amanda helped ease me in to my surroundings immediately and, save for a rogue fire alarm, the day went smoothly. I’ve had the opportunity to speak with the consultants, getting to understand and respect their areas of expertise. All in all, with day two almost over, I’ve learnt so much from the team and what my role will bring to the table.

However, there is definitely much more for me to learn. I’m certain cranberry panda is the place to do it, and learning the ropes is going to be both fun and informative. I’m ready to get stuck in, all guns blazing. Kung-Fu Panda . . . eat your heart out!
