Ecommerce salaries: What do senior level professionals receive?

What is the average ecommerce salary for senior professionals in the industry? Looking at the results of our 2018 ecommerce salary survey & insights report has got us thinking about this burning question!

Salaries in ecommerce, for the most part, are on the rise. 68% of our respondents saw their salary increase over the last 12 months. However, we want to delve deeper – so we’re going to look at salaries of senior level ecommerce professionals.

Average ecommerce salaries for senior employees

The average salary for respondents in the 46 – 65 age bracket decreased by 18% from 2017 (£107,785 in 2017 compared to £88,187 in 2018.) While this isn’t the best news featured in the salary survey report, we wanted to look at the average salaries of respondents working across the many ecommerce specialisms we cover. What did we find out? (For this #PandaPounds post, we are looking at Senior Manager to Director level professionals only.)

Ecommerce (Ecommerce Management, Online Trading & Online Merchandising)

The average salary for senior professionals working within ecommerce management, Online Trading & Merchandising is £77,818.

Digital Marketing

The average salary for senior professionals working within Digital Marketing is £73,146.

Web & Data Analytics, CRO & Data Science

The average salary for senior professionals working within Web & Data Analytics, CRO & Data Science is £82,750.

Digital Design & UX Design

The average salary for senior professionals working within Digital & UX Design is £61,000.

Performance Marketing

The average salary for senior professionals working within Performance Marketing is £62,500.

Product & Project Management

The average salary for senior professionals working within Product & Project Management is £87,984.

Ecommerce Content & Social Media

The average salary for senior professionals working within Ecommerce Content & Social Media is £52,722.
