How you can build your personal brand on LinkedIn!

We love providing great opportunities here at cranberry panda. Our current intern, Margherita, tells us what she has learnt during her time here so far.

I am the newly born cub at the cranberry towers, taking on this invaluable internship opportunity throughout the summer, duration of two months. I am currently resourcing for web analysts (the mathematical geniuses) hovering over their LinkedIn profiles and whilst doing this I have noticed a few trends in which I would like to share to help YOU build your personal brand on LinkedIn!

Personal branding: LinkedIn tips for web analysts

Share your passion for numerical data

Most web analytic profiles I have viewed have adored numerical data from a young age and for this reason chose it as a degree. That is not to say that you can’t be a web analyst without the qualifications, but it would be preferable. They dream about numbers day and night, these suited and booted web analysts.

Go beyond the numbers

For those who don’t know, it is not just about being good with numbers and graphs but truly understanding how to analyse and optimise traffic channels (this means knowing the basics of SEO and affiliate marketing).

Prepare for career progression

I also noticed that Web analysts climb up the authority ladder relatively quickly; I mean in the space of five years you could go from a web analytics manager to the head of department!

Overall I have enjoyed sourcing for this role and it seems like a great job to have! If you are seeking a web analyst role just make sure you acquire all the relevant skills and enjoy being surrounded by figures/ graphs! Can’t imagine anything worse than being in a job that you do not enjoy!

P.s. One more thing to make sure of… keep your LinkedIn profile up to date and join relevant groups to expand your network!!!
