Meet Jessica, our new Ecommerce Resourcer

I started Cranberry Panda on Monday the 6th of March, and ever since, I’ve been welcomed each morning with smiles by the friendly team.

In my previous occupation, I was working in the Hospitality industry, where a lot of pressure was put on me to carry out my duties. At cranberry panda, they acknowledge my abilities and believe that I can achieve my targets and this then gives me the energy to push to do much more.

Learning our specialisms

On my first day, each of the team members explained and discussed their Ecommerce specialisms. This was useful as it provided me with perspective on how each member benefits the company and how I too will be able to help.

Aimi and Neil taught me about their specialism which is Web Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. I had previously never known anything about data analytics before and learning all about it showed me that I had a lot more to learn about Ecommerce.

Next was Yasmin, who briefly talked me through the creative jobs of Ecommerce, and it was refreshing to learn that Ecommerce appeals to different types of people; not just those who are good with numbers, but those with a vast imagination or an authoritative stance.

Previously, I didn’t know anything about Ecommerce, and recruitment was all new to me. But it was really inspiring to know how many different specialisms there are, and to get first-hand information from the experts in each specialism; from web analytics and data science, to online trading, digital marketing and design and content.

Personally, the specialisms that stood out for me were Web Analytics and Social Media within Ecommerce. As I’ve grown up with social media and technology all around me, it was interesting to learn that there is a lot more to it behind the scenes.

Time to get started!

Not to my surprise, the office is based in a great spot in Shoreditch. It’s near places for good food, thrift store fashion, and teeming with hipster culture.

I can honestly say that I’m really looking forward to working here, as I’ve been given an opportunity increase my knowledge about Ecommerce and how it’s becoming more relevant to everything we do in the 21st century. Starting my career at cranberry panda has been amazing for me because not only am I learning about how to create happiness for people, but personally it’s great to be able to come through an area that I enjoy every day.
