Mobile Moves On 2014 - Ecommerce UK event

May 7, 2014 11:01:12 AM

Ecommerce UK hosted their quarterly event 'Mobile Moves On'  in April at the British Library. We heard from some top speakers and if discussing Mobile wasn't enticing enough, we were treated to wine and some delicious canapes too!

If you work for a mutichannel retailer, or an etailer, and missed the event - fear not as we have the lowdown here for you ecommerce evangelists!

If the presentations and slides we have for you don't answer the following questions - nothing will!

  • Do users understand top navigation icons or do you need to spell it out to them?
  • What makes for a great on-site search experience on mobile?
  • Are users happy to use geolocation when looking for a store?
  • Does a mobile checkout experience need to be more streamlined than a desktop one?

Speakers included:

  • Lee Duddell, Founder, Whatusersdo with Martin Newman and Joanna Perry from Practicology presenting their new Mobile Usability report
  • David Wild, Interim CEO, Dominos Pizza Group
  • Helen Colclough, E-Commerce Development Manager, River Island
  • Andre Rickerby, Senior Digital Manager, Etsy
  • Andrew Gilboy, Vice President EMEA, Demandware
  • Angus Blest, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Adyen

Practicology and WhatUsersDo presented the key findings from their research into mobile website usability, on the night. They conducted end user research on the mobile sites of 15 retailers including Amazon, Asos, Currys, Very, Debenhams and Goldsmiths. You can download the full Mobile Usability 2014 report here.
