Panda Q&A: Digital Marketing & Ecommerce consultant, Mark!

We're happy to introduce our newest panda, Mark Norman. He has joined cranberry panda to lead our junior to mid-level ecommerce and digital marketing specialism. To get him into the panda way of life, we had no other choice but to do one of our Panda Q&A's! 

Tell us all about your first week as a panda

I’ve never felt so welcome when starting at a new company. There has been a lot of training, but every single person has been welcoming, friendly and more than ready to help. It’s quite evident that cranberry panda is a family, and I’m sure I am going to be very happy here.

What drew you to the world of ecommerce recruitment?

As an increasing number of businesses are investing heavily in their digital space, I see it as an industry that will only continue to grow. My plan is to be at the forefront of that growth - delivering fantastic service, and exceptional candidates to my clients.

If you could be an animal for the day, what would you be and why?

I’m fascinated by spiders, so it would have to be one of my tarantulas! Every day is different with them...they’re constantly redecorating the tanks! I’d love to see what their world is like from their own eyes and see if they find it as interesting as I do!

Tell us one fact people might not know about you

As you can probably tell from the question above, I’m an avid spider keeper. I currently have 6 tarantulas that I have grown from babies and have no intention of stopping. Can’t say my housemate is very happy with that plan though!

If you could have a drink with a celebrity/historical figure, who would you choose and why?

Growing up in South Africa, rugby was always a massive part of my life. I remember exactly where I was when South Africa first won the World Cup, and I remember who my hero was from that day and for a long time after - James Small. He passed away suddenly in 2019. So if I were to choose anyone it would be him.  I would love to hear all about his stories, both on the field and off.
