Panda Q&A: Our contract recruitment consultant Zuzana!

We are happy to welcome our new ecommerce contract recruitment consultant, Zuzana, to the team. As always, we thought we would ask her to introduce herself through one of Panda Q&A's! So, let's see what she had to say...

Tell us a bit about yourself and your journey towards becoming a panda

I came to London roughly 3 years ago to study and complete my master’s degree in arts management at Middlesex University. Like most students, I found a part time job in hospitality and did everything from waiting tables to managing massive bars at London stadiums. The agency I had worked for needed some admin help in the office, and I got somehow pulled right into swirl of recruitment. It’s fair to say I fell for it and worked myself up to Senior Consultant as well as Branch manager within couple of years.

What are you most looking forward to now that you’re a member of the team?

I am very excited to get myself going in full speed, to challenge myself again and learn the best from the other pandas in the team.  I am also fairly looking forward to learning more about the ecommerce industry.

If you could have dinner with one celebrity/historical figure, who would it be and why?

I would like to meet Ellen DeGeneres one day, as I strongly believe there should be more Ellen’s in this world. I admire her courage, passion, humor and generosity. Her life story is truly inspiring, and I believe there would be a lot to talk about and learn from.

If you were to live on a desert island for a year, what five things would you bring with you?

A water bottle for sure, as you never know where the next pond might appear! Then probably a good book and a notepad. I would like to document every mirage I see…I reckon that could be quite interesting. Also, probably a knife from practical point of view.  The last thing would be pack of cards. My grandpa once told me you will never get bored if you always have a pack of cards handy.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I like to meet my friends and dance my heart out from time to time. I enjoy travelling and getting lost in places I have never been before. I also love nature - riding a horse I have back home or walking a dog. When I think about it, I like walking…walking a lot.  Also, I wouldn’t say no to a good book or movie. For the lazy days I settle for a Netflix and chill kind of culture - there is nothing like pizza and Friends on Sunday evening.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

If you don’t ask, the answer always will be no. I was told this a couple of years back. It is so simple, but brilliant, and it pretty much drives my decision process in everything I do since then.
