Jul 16, 2015 4:53:02 PM

Ever wonder how organisations are using data to fuel growth and enhance the customer experience? Well then, you’ll be very happy to hear that Lynchpin and Econsultancy have now released the findings of their latest report covering measurement and analytics in 2015.

Launched at this week's Web Analytics Wednesday (#WAWLondon) event, the report's findings are based on the responses of close to 900 analysts and marketeers. That equals a whole lot of insight!

Presentations from Lynchpin directors Andrew Hood and Steve Dalgleish, and Econsultancy's Linus Gregoriadis, highlighted the key findings. Their talks all went down a treat, and question time was full of healthy discussions, many of which continued well into the networking that followed.

Measurement and Analytics: Takeaways from the evening

  • 55% of respondents are confidenct that their use of data enables them to better understand their customers.
  • 50% of businesses are looking to grow their in-house analytics team.
  • When asked if analytics 'definitely drive actionable recommendations which make a difference to their organisation', only 23% said yes.
  • Although 54% of companies are using tag management systems, only half of respondents answered 'yes' to the question, 'do you have a data layer'.
