Top Questions to ask your interviewer

What do you do when you're asked if you have any questions to ask your interviewer? Freeze? Ramble? Or ace it?

We've compiled a list of top interview questions so you can be appropriately armed for your next job interview...

It's vital for you to be blown away by the potential employer and you will need to find out as much about them as possible, before deciding whether they are the right company for you. By asking the following questions, will not only give you more insight into the role but will also show the employer how committed and serious you are.

  • How would you describe a typical week/day in this position?
  • Is there a chance for promotion in the future?
  • Can you tell me how the role relates to the overall structure of the organisation? 
  • How is performance measured and reviewed?
  • Are you most interested in a candidate who works independently, in a team, cross-functionally, or a combination? Can you give me an example?
  •  Do you have any reservations or how does my experience compare to the others in the process?

And if you're feeling particularly confident;

  • What is the single largest problem facing your ecommerce team, and would I be in a position to help you solve this problem?

  • What is the team structure of the company?

  • What do you envisage the marketing budget to be?
  • Are there growth plans for the future? Will the ecommerce manager be able to grow the team with specialists?

  • Will the ecommerce manager be able to develop the site further after launch?
  • How far along the site build process are you?
  • Are you still at requirements gathering stage?
  • Do you know the launch date of the website and do you plan to have soft and full launches?
