Having worked on many digital design jobs throughout our time in the ecommerce & digital recruitment space, we ensure we keep up with all of the trends. That includes the latest salary benchmarks!

Digital Design 

  • Junior Digital Designer: £24,000 - £28,000 (2019: £22,000 - £25,000)
  • Mid-weight Digital Designer: £28,000 - £40,000 (2019: £25,000 - £35,000)
  • Senior Digital Designer: £40,000 - £70,000 (2019: £35,000 - £70,000)
  • Director/Head of Digital Design: £60,000 - £100,000 (2019: £55,000 - £100,000)

UX Design 

  • Junior UX Designer: £22,000 - £35,000 (2019: £25,000 - £40,000)
  • UX Designer: £35,000 - £55,000 (2019: £35,000 - £55,000)
  • Senior/Lead UX Designer: £65,000 - £90,000 (2019: £70,000 - £90,000)
  • Head of UX: £80,000 - £120,000 (2019: £90,000 - £120,000)

Graphic Design 

The job titles for Graphic Design were new additions to the 2020 ecommerce salary survey & insights report, so there will be no 2019 comparisons for this section.

  • Junior Graphic Designer: £20,000 - £25,000
  • Graphic Designer: £25,000 - £35,000
  • Senior Graphic Designer: £38,000 - £55,000

Web Content & Content Marketing

  • Content Production Assistant/Executive: £22,000 - £32,000 (2019: £22,000 - £27,000)
  • Content Production Manager: £40,000 - £50,000 (2019: £35,000 - £45,000)
  • Content (editorial) Assistant/Executive: £24,000 - £32,000 (2019: £20,000 - £30,000)
  • Content (editorial) Manager: £40,000 - £60,000 (2019: £35,000 - £60,000)
  • Junior Copywriter: £20,000 - £30,000 (2019: £20,000 - £30,000)
  • Online Copywriter: £30,000 - £45,000 (2019: £35,000 - £45,000)
  • Content Lead/Head of Content: £50,000 - £90,000 (2019: £55,000 - £90,000)
