What is the average salary for mid-level professionals in the ecommerce industry? Having previously looked at junior ecommerce salaries and senior ecommerce salaries, it’s time to look at professionals at the middle stage of their career.

You didn’t think we’d forget about you, did you? Sit back, relax and get ready to read some exclusive ecommerce salary insights from our 2018 ecommerce salary survey report!

Average ecommerce salaries for mid-level employees

When looking at the average salaries for those in a mid-level position, we decided to look across two age brackets.

Our respondents in the 26-35 age bracket saw their average salary increase by 0.1% - not an increase to sing from the rooftops about! Those in the 36-45 age bracket fared slightly better, seeing a 3.3% increase from 2017 (£75,522 to £78,059.)

Like our previous studies of average salaries across seniority levels, we will now explore our ecommerce specialisms and what the average salary is for each. (For this #PandaPounds post, we are looking at respondents at Senior Executive to Manager level only.)

Ecommerce (Ecommerce Management, Online Trading & Online Merchandising)

The average salary for mid-level professionals working within ecommerce management, online trading & online merchandising is £43,593.

Digital Marketing

For mid-level digital marketing professionals in the ecommerce industry, the average salary is £43,529.

(Please note, for our ecommerce content & social media specialism, the sample size of mid-level professionals was too small to present insights for this post.)

Do these averages match up to your mid-level ecommerce salary?

Are you being paid fairly? Or are others in the industry at your level earning more? Making it a hattrick, Web & Data Analytics professionals lead the pack for mid-level employees as they did for junior and senior levels also!
