Ecommerce salaries: What do mid-level professionals receive?

What is the average salary for mid-level professionals in the ecommerce industry? Having previously looked at junior ecommerce salaries and senior ecommerce salaries, it’s time to look at professionals at the middle stage of their career.

Average ecommerce salaries for mid-level employees

When looking at the average salaries for those in a mid-level position, we decided to look across two age brackets.

Our respondents in the 26-35 age bracket saw their average salary increase by 0.1% - not an increase to sing from the rooftops about! Those in the 36-45 age bracket fared slightly better, seeing a 3.3% increase from 2017 (£75,522 to £78,059.)

Like our previous studies of average salaries across seniority levels, we will now explore our ecommerce specialisms and what the average salary is for each. (For this #PandaPounds post, we are looking at respondents at Senior Executive to Manager level only.)

Ecommerce (Ecommerce Management, Online Trading & Online Merchandising)

The average salary for mid-level professionals working within ecommerce management, online trading & online merchandising is £43,593.

Digital Marketing

For mid-level digital marketing professionals in the ecommerce industry, the average salary is £43,529.

Web & Data Analytics, CRO & Data Science

Mid-level professionals working within web & data Analytics, CRO & data science receive an average salary of £48,275.

Digital Design, UX & UI Design

The average salary for mid-level digital, UX & UI designers working in ecommerce is £43,192.

Performance Marketing

Performance marketers working in ecommerce at a mid-level receive an average salary of £42,066.

Product & Project Management

Mid-level product & project management professionals in ecommerce receive an average salary of £45,531.
