Our client is one of the biggest retailers. Their physical stores are dotted across the majority of the UK, with several more opening up, and their eCommerce site has seen outstanding growth (specifically since the pandemic).
As they continue to dominate, they are looking for an eCommerce Merchandiser to join their small team and help to focus on the delivery of the trading performance of their online business. This role would suit someone who is happy to be a bit of an all-rounder, has an analytical mindset, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where the direction can change quite frequently.
About the role
- Manage the site search ensuring relevance and accuracy for the customer and provide insights to the wider team.
- Work closely with various teams to ensure forecasts are achieved.
- Monitor and analyse user behaviour through tools like GA4 and identify conversion bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with the SEO agency to achieve organic traffic targets.
- Understand under/over performance on the site and take appropriate action on those insights.
About you
- Prior experience working as part of an eCommerce/Online Trade team.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce, with hands-on experience of merchandising, trading, and web analytics (and understanding of SEO would be beneficial).
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Google Analytics, and ideally Tableau.
- Commercial with an analytical mindset - able to provide accurate and relevant data that will help shape decisions and provide insight.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and happy to be an all-rounder!
