Following a cranberry panda martini reception, chief panda Jonathan Hall kicked off the proceedings by introducing the #PandaPound report in all its glory. We wanted to give you five quick insights from Jonathan’s presentation, which you can find in full in our 2017 report.

The average Ecommerce salary survey has increased

Yet again, the average salary for Ecommerce professionals has increased…happy days! This is an increase of £1,939 from 2016.

Salary Expectations for the year to come

71% of respondents have seen their salary increase in the past year. Fantastic news! For Ecommerce professionals who have yet to see a change in their salary, 62% expect an increase before the end of the year.

Salary expectations when finding a new job

As you can see below, the responses were varied when it came to salary expectations when moving to a new role. The majority of respondents expect a 10-20% salary increase should they decide to find a new job!

Work life balance & Ecommerce

An impressive 68% of Ecommerce professionals are happy with their work life balance. However, this does leave 32% who are not quite satisfied with it…with many of these respondents believing it is managers who can reverse this. Motivation, incentives, and team needs are just a few ways the respondents believe managers can improve work life balance of their teams.

Beautiful Benefits

What work benefits do Ecommerce professionals receive? On top this year is contributory pension, with 46% of respondents receiving this benefit. In 2016, 42% received contributory pension so this benefit is still on the rise. Other benefits include 25 days holiday, company laptops and flexible working.
